WE COME FROM NATURE ASE

  • More gardens mean less carbon emissions, resulting in our generation leaving a smaller carbon footprint.

  • Food today is proven to have less nutritional value than our produced fruits and vegetables of just 50 years ago.

  • Taking action collectively today can give our children's future a better solution to today's food crisis.

  • We have a chance to align ourselves with nature and the 'space' that some souls spend a lifetime longing for.

  • Supporting local farms help farmers compete with the commercial grocery stores, while revisiting old traditions of gardening, foraging, herbalism. Acting on the "urge" to return to the natural world  will help us create a more sustainable future.

Food Today is Less Nutritious Than in The Past

  • Studies have shown that foods of today are on average 16% less nutrient-dense than produce from the 20th century.

  • 16 percent doesn't sound like a large amount but consider that I took 16% of your check. You'd know something was up.

  • Most Americans are overweight; yet they are lacking in vitamins and minerals.

  • Monocropping is a big contribution to the decline in available nutrients in the soil.

  • Monocropping Explained: Businesses grow one crop in an area of land for production, but after the resources in the land are used up, someone has to put nutrients and organic material back into the environment.

  • Less nutrients mean living on a vegetarian diet today is not as beneficial as it was 100 years ago.

  • This is due to the loss of soil health over the years with the emission of fossil fuels; and other human factors such as deforestation, bad farming practices, and no foresight for the future generation creates a lack of biodiversity.

  • Resolution: One solution is each of us taking steps in our individual lives to support nature. WE can each plant a garden to support biodiversity. Biodiversity has to be appreciated in order to sustain healthy ecosystems to further support life, produce food, and other crops grown for production like the oil of the palm tree.

Modern Food Crisis

  • We live in an age where information is available in almost every direction.

  • Not all opinions support the accurate information relative to the truth of a situation or circumstance.

  • But, one thing you may have heard is that an agenda to target our health has been implemented.

    • Unfortunately, people have been convinced that food come in boxes and convenient microwavable packages

    • In America, obesity is up to 42%; almost a third higher than in a 2013 study that recorded the obesity rate at about 27-30% according to the NIH (National Institute of Health.
